Valeo Vision Systems plans to create 140 new full-time jobs at its plant in Tuam, Co. Galway, IDA Ireland said, while IT firm Ammeon plans to create 30 jobs at its offices in Dublin.

The French company, which manufactures safety camera systems for cars, is already the biggest employer in Tuam and the expansion will bring the number employed there to 750 over the next two years. The jobs will be in research and development and operations.

Meanwhile, IT services company Ammeon is also creating 30 new jobs in Dublin.

The company, which specialises in IT-based transformation projects, currently employs 140 people and is looking for both experienced IT professionals and graduates for the positions in software development and test automation.
