March 2019 – April 2019
I strongly believe that my internship with WTC Dublin will benefit me in most facets of life. Coming from New York, it is easy to close yourself off, forgetting that business and trade is more multinational now, than ever before. I am glad I chose Dublin for my internship experience as the country is the gateway to the EU for much of the world. While working at WTC Dublin my co-workers were diligent and supportive friends, understanding that a new country can take some getting used, although it took no time at all with the help I was given. I always believe that high expectations yield higher results, and that was the case with WTC Dublin. Within my first week I was doing research on trade with India, which I then turned into report, I wrote a blog for the branch website, which is not such a small job for an intern so new. But any challenge that you are used to becomes normal, giving me an experience which fostered hard work, collaboration and a feeling of accomplishment at the end of each day.

February 2019 – April 2019
These 3 months working for WTCD has been a very good time. I had a lot of new experience and I feel that I improved my English skill a lot thanks to my co-workers. I went to some events where I could improve my communicative skills. One of the highlights was to visit the Spanish embassy and see Spanish people working in Ireland. Everybody at the office was very kind with me from the beginning and very helpful if I ever had a problem. I highly recommend this place to work. Thank you to all the team.

September 2018 – December 2018
I flew across the pond for four months to study abroad in Dublin, but the experience that I will remember the fondest is my time at the World Trade Center Dublin. As a management major focused on entrepreneurial studies, there is no better place for me to be immersed in business development than WTCD. Working with the team every Monday and Thursday motivated me to get out of bed bright and early. Through the busy days completing 125 page states reports, figuring out Divi website builder, and creating access databases from vague memories of freshman year, I would constantly take a step back and acknowledge how lucky I was to be in the position I was in. The opportunity presented to me in Dublin allowed me to work on something I’m truly passionate about and I am extremely grateful for the friends I made in Dublin.

World Trade Center Dublin has the global outreach of a large corporation, as one would expect. However, the size of the team and intimacy of the work involved allowed me to maximise the benefits of this opportunity. Through working for an international organization that operates in such a personal manner, there was an opportunity to work in a challenging yet comfortable environment. Since the first day I came into the office, I felt like a valued member of the team that could contribute meaningful work each day. However, this independent work also came with insightful guidance from the full time team members. I was able to hone a diverse set of skills including research, web programming, and data management. As my internship continued, the full time team members instilled more trust in my abilities and allowed me to continuously challenge myself. I am extremely grateful to the WTCD team for not only the opportunity but for making my internship a highlight of my time abroad in Ireland.

If they say, life is a journey, Dublin would be the coziest station a train could possibly stay.
If they say, education is filling an empty pail, WTCD is a place teaching you how to light a fire.
If they say, the greatest gift of life is friendship, in this team, I have received it.
if they say, it’s time to say goodbye now, but I think goodbyes are sad and I’d much rather say hello. Hello to a new adventure.

September 2018 – November 2018
I joined the World Trade Center here in Dublin for two months, from September to November 2018. This was my first time to intern, and when I first came to Ireland, I didn’t know what to expect. I can remember when I stepped into the office on my first day how worried I was, and now, after two months I am completely involved in this workplace. The Dublin team is incredibly welcoming, kind and friendly; they have helped me a lot, both in improving my English knowledge and learning about how they help clients to grow their business overseas. I compiled leads report, and what I’ve found very interesting and useful are all the Industry Reports the team create to provide more information for their clients. Moreover, I’ve had the opportunity to participate in two very interesting events where I challenged myself and where I learnt more about this work environment. Finally, do you want to know what the best part of this experience was? The Friday team lunch, for sure! I think it’s the best way to involve everyone and create such a big family as the Dublin Team. I really want to thank you all and I am extremely grateful to all of you for what you’ve done for me!

August 2018 – September 2018
I joined the World Trade Center Dublin (WTCD) for 2 months, from August to September 2018. I travelled a lot worldwide but this was my first work experience abroad. I had a great opportunity to see how WTCD actually helps clients to be successful through its efficient service of leads generation, networking and international consulting. I tested myself; learning a lot about Irish culture and economy. I really appreciated the kindness, expertise and patience that all the team members showed me every day, as well as the weekly team lunch; the best occasion to have pleasant conversations. Thank you all for making me feel at home, I will treasure this stimulating experience forever.

July 2018 – August 2018
I joined the World Trade Center Dublin for 6 weeks from July 2018 to August 2018, and this was the best summer of my life! My internship experience here was wonderful; everyone here was so nice and friendly. They were all very willing to help when I needed it. I learned lots of things here like creating leads reports for clients, publishing news stories, and compiling data into spreadsheets. I learned a lot about Ireland’s culture and other countries cultures as some of my colleagues came from other countries. I also shared mine with them, so we could do an exchange of cultures, which was my main goal. Finally, I liked the team lunch very much. Everyone here was unforgettable and warm. Thank you all for giving me such amazing internship experience.
Chutima Khokhunee - Thailand
June 2018 – July 2018
I joined the World Trade Center Dublin for 8 weeks from June to July 2018. I really enjoyed all my tasks throughout the internship. I learned many things, for example; how to create leads reports for both companies and specific industries. Moreover, my fellow employees gave me the warmest welcome and were very helpful. Additionally, the other interns were so nice and kind; thus I could adjust myself quickly to the workplace and then take pleasure in my everyday tasks. Finally, I really appreciated the team lunch every Friday. So, it was a glorious summer internship.

June 2018 – July 2018
I joined the team at the World Trade Center Dublin and WebPort Global for the summer of 2018. I have travelled abroad before but this was my first time working in a different country. The team made that transition fluid and I was able to learn so much about Irish businesses and how to adapt to unfamiliar situations. I feel that I was able to experience Ireland in more depth because I wasn’t just there as a student or as a tourist – I had a purpose. This summer was a period of growth that I will forever treasure and I just want to say thank you to the whole team for everything!

June 2018 – July 2018
I joined the World Trade Center Dublin for 6 weeks from June 2018. I’m glad to have this precious internship opportunity and I’ve learnt a lot in here such as creating leads reports and finding suitable business partners for clients. Everyone in the company is so nice and supportive so that I can adapt to the working environment quickly. My internship goal, understanding cultural differences between countries, was totally achieved during these six weeks because there are many interns who came from different countries. This internship experience was amazing and unforgettable. Thank you all.

April 2018 – June 2018
I joined the World Trade Center Dublin team in April 2018 and I stayed there for two months. It was a real pleasure to be a part of the team; I was welcomed in a very friendly environment, the people are very nice and understanding, and they helped me to integrate well among them. During these two months, I learned many things, especially in regards to trade services and business. What WTCD/WPG does for other companies is very useful and it is a step towards a better future for trade between different companies all over the world. For me, what I mostly did in the company was compiling leads reports, and this taught me a lot about different companies. A big thank you to the whole team!

January 2018 – April 2018
The World Trade Center Dublin opened me up to a whole new perspective on real-world business. When I came to Dublin in January I had no idea what to expect. However, the minute I stepped in the office on the first day I immediately felt at home with a very warm welcome. I learned an immense amount. More than my three years at school, thus far. I made connections that will last forever and more importantly the knowledge that will help me move forward. Generating leads reports to help companies do business overseas was great practice and it also opened me up to different markets around the world and what to focus on when looking into those countries. Ireland is a beautiful country and I am so glad I made my decision to intern at such a great company. I made the most of it and I am already looking forward to going back! Thank you so much to the Dublin team for everything they have done for me, it couldn’t have been a better semester!
Niamh Shaughnessy - Ireland
September 2017 – December 2017
My internship at WTC Dublin was one of my first times interning. Immediately the team made me feel welcome and at ease. The skill set I have learnt from my time in Dublin have proven advantageous in both the workplace and college. The networking opportunities throughout my time at WTC Dublin were like no other. My position as an Account executive was one of the most fulfilling positions I have been fortunate enough to maintain. Seeing Irish companies progress on a global scale daily was beyond rewarding and motivating. As the team was relatively small you are given one on one learning opportunities which is rare. I truly loved my time as part of the WTC Dublin team and feel confident in the skills and experience I have learned as I continue my studies I know this internship will help me have a seamless transition into the working world.
